WISH YOU WERE HERE – PARIS

Wish you were here is a photography show that first took place in Leeds, England before itinerating to New York and Paris. We took in charge the production part of this show in Paris. We handled the printing and art direction for the project in collaboration with Surface 2 Air’s Nic Jones and Antoine Floch, including postcards, posters, flyers, video, display, etc.

Some images from the show

‘Football Casuals’ were young blokes (read: football hooligans) with working-class roots who hung around football games in Leeds and all across England in the 80′s (high time was between ’84 and ’88) getting into all sorts of mischief. Unlike Skinheads wearing chunky Doc Martens, the Casuals went under the radar with their dress, which allowed them to get away with a lot more.
These guys wore their (mostly stolen) expensive designer brands and English heritage labels with pride. If it wasn’t for them, much of what’s popular today in heritage wear might have gone under.
